Our Story
It started with alice. (And a really bad day)
One of those stomach-dropping, can’t-breathe days when everything falls apart.
Redundancy. Identity crisis. The kind of burnout no amount of flat whites or self-care Sundays can fix.
Overnight, Alice's five-year plan vanished, and the future she’d worked so hard for cracked wide open. Somewhere between despair, doomscrolling, and Deliveroo, she found herself under a blanket. Not a magical one (she wishes), just a regular throw offering a tiny comfort in the chaos.
But something was missing. She needed something softer, more grounding, something that felt like a calming hug.
And that's when she realised comfort wasn't being designed for moments like this.
That spark became Pookie Originals, born from burnout and the quiet rebuilding that happens when life resets.
With it, development of SnuggleStretch™, a mid-weight faux fur with a gentle 4-way stretch, double-sided, soft, safe, and heavy enough to ground you without weighing you down.
